When we got let out of school, I went and picked up Scout after school and we walked home together. She told me about the gum she had found in the hollow in the tree. We looked in the tree again and saw some foil. Inside this small velvet box were two real old pennies. I had to explain to Scout about the Indian heads. We were all excited because Dill was comin to us for summer.
We started playing our games like we always do, and then Scout started getting bored of playing the Rover boys. Scout started telling me to make one up and I didn’t want to. I started telling them about Hot Steam. I mean how can they not know about hot steams.
Next, Scout wanted to roll in the tire. She knows I’m too big so she made me push. It wasn’t fun at all until Scout started rollin down the hill and crashed and ended up right in front of the Radley front steps. I yelled for her to bring the tire and run. It was
real scary to see your sister to be running through the Radley yard. She didn’t get the tire and I asked her why. She told me to go get it. I ran in real fast, got the tire and tore out through the fence again.
